Foo Fighters have chosen Ilan Rubin as their new drummer, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and Angels & Airwaves.
Rubin’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Nine Inch Nails in 2020 made him the youngest-ever inductee at 32 years old.

Josh Freese, the previous drummer for Foo Fighters, has parted ways with the band and will return to Nine Inch Nails.
It is uncertain whether Rubin will be a full-time member or a touring drummer for Foo Fighters, as he had prior commitments with Nine Inch Nails.
The Foo Fighters are set to begin their tour in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 2, with new music released to celebrate their 30th anniversary, paying tribute to late drummer Taylor Hawkins and thanking Josh Freese for his contributions.
