Marta Demmel sat down with Nikki Blakk of 107.7 The Bone to talk about Bleeding Through’s long-awaited return and their new album Nine. After stepping away in 2014 to focus on family and personal growth, the band realized that their creative chemistry was irreplaceable. The result is Nine—a dark, emotionally charged album that sees Marta taking on a bigger role in both writing and vocals.
She also shared insights into the recording process, which involved remote collaboration and personal struggles that fueled the album’s raw energy. Beyond Bleeding Through, Marta and her husband, Phil Demmel, continue giving back through The Merkins, their charity-driven cover band, and the Taco Tuesday Crew, which organizes community fundraisers.
With select shows on the horizon, including an album release event with SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin, Bleeding Through is proving that they’re back on their own terms—and stronger than ever.
