Sammy Hagar’s 1982 Ferrari 512BB, which was featured in his music video for “I Can’t Drive 55,” is hitting the auction block.
“Honestly, it’s just too much car for me,” Hagar says of the vehicle, of which only 499 were made. “This is a real race car. This should belong to someone who has great eyesight, great reflexes, about half my age — and very wealthy.”
The car will be auctioned by the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 12th — the eve of Hagar’s 77th birthday.
