In response to the destructive wildfires in Butte County California, the San Francisco 49ers have announced the team’s initial plans to support the communities that have been tragically impacted in recent days. In order to maximize assistance to those who have immediate need, the 49ers have named North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) as the new recipient of the proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle during Monday’s game at Levi’s® Stadium. The 49ers will provide a dollar for dollar match for the contributions raised by fans during the game against the New York Giants.

The previously announced recipient of Monday’s 50/50 Raffle, SEAL Family Foundation (sealfamilyfoundation.org), will receive a donation of $50,000 from the 49ers for accommodating the change.

In collaboration with NVCF, the 49ers will continue to monitor the situation in Butte County and surrounding areas during this devastating time, and are prepared to take further action as more specific needs on the ground emerge.

The 49ers are also undertaking an internal employee collection drive for essential items to support residents of the area as the team did last year for the fires in the North Bay.
