Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is hitting the road this August with an all-star lineup for an eight-date run under The Joe Perry Project. Kicking off August 13 in Tampa and wrapping August 23 in Port Chester, the tour features Aerosmith bandmates Brad Whitford and Buck Johnson, plus Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes, and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz from Stone Temple Pilots.
“I’m really excited about the JPP lineup this year!” says Perry, promising a fiery mix of JPP favorites, Aerosmith deep cuts, and surprises from STP and Black Crowes catalogs. The Boston stop on August 19 at the Wang Theatre is expected to be a highlight, with hometown energy fueling the show.
Perry calls the set “garage band on steroids” and teases a wild night for fans: “You never know what’s gonna happen!” Rock fans, get ready.
