Kirk Hammett is working on his first full-length solo album, which unlike his debut solo EP will feature guest vocalists.
Hammett also has a massive collection of new riffs – 767 of them, in fact – for the next Metallica album.
He’ss actively gathering ideas for his solo album, which will be a fusion of various styles.
Hammett says he’s intrigued by the idea of Metallica revisiting their Nineties sound, considering the positive reception those albums receive now.
At 62, Hammett feels creatively energized and believes Metallica can continue indefinitely as long as they stay healthy.
