‘The Doors: The Singles’ collection to be released in September

As part of their 50th-anniversary celebration, The Doors announced that they will be releasing, The Doors: The Singles, a complete set of their singles released in the U.S.

The collection comes out on September 15 and will be available in three formats and can be pre-ordered now.

The formats include:

2-CD version which features the band’s 20 U.S. singles, their B-sides and four mono radio versions.

2-CD/Blu-ray version which includes all the content from the 2-CD version, in addition to the 1973 The Best of the Doors on blu-ray.

7-inch vinyl box set holds the 20 U.S. singles, their B-sides on 7-inch 45s with their original artwork in a decorated lift-top box.

An announcement was issued about the upcoming release of the singles:

The Singles shows the creative chemistry shared by drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, and vocalist Jim Morrison; four brilliant artists who made The Doors one of America’s most iconic and influential rock bands.
