Tony Iommi says there’s one particular Black Sabbath riff that Eddie Van Halen loved.
In a new interview, the guitarist was asked if there was a Sabbath riff that he immediately knew would be special.
He joked, “Well, without sounding big-headed, [there were] a few.“
He later added, “‘Into the Void.’ That was a riff that I really liked, and that was Eddie Van Halen’s favorite, to be honest, ‘Into The Void.’ He’d always say, ‘Oh, play ‘Into The Void.” So it was great to hear that.”
