Nancy Wilson says she’s thrilled to be back on stage with Heart – and with her sister, Ann Wilson. Heart took the stage for the first time in more than four years this week. The band played the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Southern California on Wednesday, with a 12-song set that included a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven”.
It was their first show since October of 2019 – though both Ann and Nancy Wilson have toured separately in the meantime. She told the Seattle Times: “I’m just really excited about working with Ann again. We’ve been texting back and forth a lot — “What about this song? What if we did that song?”
She says they share a connection you can only have with family: “The way we write and have written songs together, that’s a really specific thing that only we can do as sisters.”
Heart will hit the road with Def Leppard and Journey in 2024.
