The film “Wind of Change,” which chronicles the journey of German rock band Scorpions from their formation in 1965 to their rise to international fame, is set for a theatrical release in North America in March 2027, following its debut in Germany in January 2027.
The title of the film is derived from the Scorpions’ 1991 hit single, which symbolizes hope, peace, and unity, particularly in the context of the end of the Cold War, with the song selling 14 million copies worldwide.
Roadside Attractions Co-Presidents Cohen and d’Arbeloff noted that while the Scorpions’ hits defined the MTV generation, their story is powerful today because of their belief that “artists can inspire people to change the world.”
The Scorpions have achieved remarkable success, selling over 110 million albums globally and continuing to tour, solidifying their status as one of Germany’s most successful musical exports.
