A previously unreleased live recording of “Peggy-O,” performed by Bobby Weir, is released ahead of the 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of his album Blue Mountain, set to be available on November 20.
The live performance, recorded at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on October 10, 2016, features a collaboration of musicians including Matt Berninger, Steve Kimock, John Mayer, and Josh Kaufman, showcasing Weir’s vocal and acoustic guitar skills.
The Deluxe Edition will include unreleased recordings from the Blue Mountain studio sessions and live performances from Weir’s fall 2016 “Campfire Tour,” providing a comprehensive view of the album’s journey from creation to live performance.
Blue Mountain, Weir’s first album of entirely original material in over 30 years, draws inspiration from traditional cowboy songs and was critically acclaimed for its songwriting and performances, marking a significant return for Weir in his solo career.
