Saliva have released the official music video for “Rivers,” a heartfelt tribute to late Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers. The song appears on the band’s latest album, Breaking Through, and honors the influential musician who passed away in October 2025. Saliva frontman Bobby Amaru revealed that the track was inspired by his personal friendship with Rivers and the impact the bassist had on his early musical career. “‘Rivers’ was written in honor of my late friend Sam Rivers, who passed away last October. He was a huge inspiration to me, and someone who helped shape my path very early in my career,” Amaru shared.
The band’s latest album, Breaking Through, explores themes of healing, perseverance, and personal growth, emphasizing the idea that progress comes one day and one decision at a time. The record features collaborations with Johnny Van Zant, Trevor McNevan, and Austin John Winkler, bringing together musicians from different corners of the rock world. Produced by Amaru and Steve Perreira, with executive production from Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson, the album combines powerful rock anthems with deeply personal songwriting.
Saliva rose to prominence in the early 2000s with hits like “Click Click Boom” and “Your Disease,” helping establish their place in the nu-metal and hard rock scene. Their major-label debut, Every Six Seconds, achieved double-platinum status, launching a career that has continued through multiple lineup changes and releases, including Revelation: Retold. With “Rivers,” the band delivers a personal tribute to a fellow musician while continuing to build on its legacy of emotionally driven hard rock.
