Mike McCready discussed Pearl Jam’s plans for the future, including the possibility of playing shows in 2027 and working on a new record.
McCready explained, “We’re working with a new drummer right now, and we’re trying to get him into our band. His name is Abe Laboriel. He plays with Paul McCartney, and we’re trying to split his time between us and Paul. So hopefully we’ll get to play some shows next year, but right now there’s nothing on the books.”
The band’s desire to return to the studio and stage is linked to integrating Laboriel into the lineup and figuring out scheduling.
