Holy Watr isn’t just making music — they’re building a world around it.
At Aftershock Festival, the band spoke with 107.7 The Bone about everything from their dark, sensual and unpredictable sound to the carefully constructed aesthetic that extends across their music, merch, website and live presentation. For Holy Watr, authenticity is the foundation: if something feels forced, it takes the listener out of the art.
That same passion has fueled an impressive run, with the band releasing three full-length albums in three years while touring relentlessly, including their first European tour.
But perhaps the most revealing part of the conversation came when the band answered our signature Almost Famous question: What do you love about music?
Their answers ranged from music being a “drug” to describing the feeling of being truly seen by a song — a reminder of why music continues to connect people across cultures, languages and generations.
