Turnstile made history as the first hardcore band to perform on SNL since Fear in 1981.
The Baltimore band appeared as musical guests on the October 3rd episode, hosted by Dakota Johnson, kicking off with “BIRDS” before returning later in the night for a medley of “I CARE” and “DULL”
Dakota Johnson joked about starting a “wall of death” for Turnstile during the week’s promos.
The band’s SNL debut came in the midst of a successful year following the release of their album “NEVER ENOUGH.”
Turnstile’s performance on SNL maintained the intensity of their live shows, showcasing their current era.
The band’s touring schedule was adjusted to accommodate their appearance on SNL.
