Robert Plant impressed fans with a rare performance of “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” during a recent concert with Saving Grace in St. Louis.
Fans praised Plant and his new band, with one person commenting, “There’s a reason why he’s the best.”
“Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” was originally written by Annie Bredon in the late 1950s and was first recorded by Joan Baez before Led Zeppelin released their version in 1969.
Led Zeppelin’s self-titled debut album, which features “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,” reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and No. 6 on the Official UK Album Chart.
Plant and Saving Grace released their debut album in 2025, with Plant describing the recording process as starting with one microphone in a field and incorporating natural sounds like birds singing.
