Billy Gibbons is sharing a wild story involving Ozzy Osbourne and one of rock and roll’s most famous hotels.
In the documentary If These Walls Could Rock, the ZZ Top guitarist recalls an Ozzy prank at Hollywood’s legendary Sunset Marquis that quickly turned into chaos. According to Gibbons, the incident resulted in a memorable poolside party — complete with broken glass scattered around the area.
The documentary explores the Sunset Marquis’ long connection to rock history and also features Sharon and Kelly Osbourne sharing their own memories of the hotel. Kelly looks back on some particularly wild experiences from her teenage years growing up around the rock-and-roll lifestyle.
For decades, the Sunset Marquis has been a home away from home for some of music’s biggest names, making stories like Gibbons’ Ozzy encounter part of the hotel’s legendary reputation.
