A powerful storm has forced Toronto’s Rogers Stadium to close indefinitely, bringing its 2026 summer concert season to an abrupt end and canceling an upcoming AC/DC show.
The storm caused extensive damage throughout the outdoor venue, including flooding, seats being ripped out and debris scattered across the stadium. As a result, AC/DC’s scheduled Sept. 16 concert will no longer take place at Rogers Stadium.
Live Nation Canada is now focused on repairing the venue and preparing it for the 2027 concert season, although no specific timeline has been announced for completing the work.
The storm has been described as a “100-year event,” with forensic meteorological analysis underway to better understand the intensity of the weather that struck the venue.
The closure brings an unexpected end to Rogers Stadium’s summer schedule. Current plans call for the venue to return to action in May 2027, when Harry Styles is scheduled to perform.
