Gene Simmons discussed his collaboration with Paul Stanley on new music.
In a new interview, Simmons was asked about new music with Paul Stanley and explained, “We did. We tried writing something with a world famous producer; I don’t want to mention his name. And it went OK. But, Paul on his own, came up with a thing that we recorded. KISS. That’ll be coming out at some point. But it’s not romantic anymore to be recording new material because everybody downloads and file-shares for free. There is no mystery about it. And the art of music is gone.”
Despite differences, Simmons emphasizes the deep bond and shared values he has with Paul Stanley, rooted in a mutual work ethic and abstinence from substances.
