Shane Hawkins, son of late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, has revived the band Chevy Metal with bassist Wiley Hodgden and guitarist Brent Woods.
Shane Hawkins decided to continue Chevy Metal as a way to honor his father’s legacy and keep a part of his childhood alive.
Chevy Metal’s setlist includes classic rock songs by bands like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and the Rolling Stones, with Shane now incorporating more punk rock into their performances.
The band often features surprise guests like Dave Grohl, Mick Jagger, and John McEnroe, creating a unique blend of generations in their performances.
Shane Hawkins, now graduated from boarding school, is focusing on playing with Chevy Metal and collaborating with other young musicians on new material, carrying on the tradition his father started with the band.
