Metallica considered a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere after Lars Ulrich attended U2’s opening night there.
Ulrich expressed his awe and inspiration after witnessing U2’s performance at the venue, calling it “another frontier.”
Metallica will perform 24 shows between Oct. 1 and March 13, aiming to create an “incredible” experience for the audience.
The band plans to have 12 “No Repeat Weekends” where they will play entirely different sets on each Thursday and Saturday.
Metallica’s residency, named “Life Burns Faster,” will showcase their entire catalog with immersive technologies at the venue for a unique live experience.
