Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson discussed the band’s upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Class Of 2026 in an interview with Metal Hammer magazine.
Harris mentioned that there were no internal discussions about turning down the Rock Hall honor and expressed his nonchalance towards awards, stating, “But did I lose sleep over getting it or not getting it? No.”
Dickinson echoed Harris’s sentiment: “I can’t even summon the energy to be vitriolic about it. I appreciate that a significant number of people are happy for us. That’s nice. It’s not something we’re bothered about.”
The band will not attend the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony in 2026 due to their Australian tour schedule, but both Dickinson and Harris say they wouldn’t have attended anyway.
Despite being eligible since 2004, Iron Maiden had only been nominated twice before, in 2021 and 2023, and finished fourth in the fan vote for the 2023 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction class.
