It’s been exactly one year since Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath said goodbye at the star-studded ‘Back to the Beginning’ farewell concert in Birmingham, England.
Ozzy’s Parkinson’s disease diagnosis initially cast doubt on his ability to perform, but his voice remained powerful as he sang while seated on a throne, performing a short set with Black Sabbath and another set of solo material.
The concert drew more than 40,000 fans and over 5 million watching a global livestream, all raising money for charity.
Black Sabbath’s final show, “Back to the Beginning,” reunited the original lineup for over 40,000 fans, with 5 million viewers tuning in.
Ozzy would pass away just 17 days later at the age of 76.
