A new Bon Scott mural was unveiled in AC/DC Lane in Central Melbourne to commemorate what would have been the late AC/DC frontman’s 80th birthday.
The mural was created by Melbourne artist Era based on exclusive commemorative artwork by Reg Mombassa, a co-founder of Mental As Anything.

Bon Scott, known for his bad boy attitude, naughty grin, and powerful pipes, fronted several bands before joining AC/DC and performing on their first seven studio albums.
Melbourne Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece described the mural as a tribute to two Antipodean cultural icons and emphasized Melbourne’s status as the home of live music in Australia.
The Scott family expressed their admiration for Reg Mombassa’s artwork and music, stating that his visual style is an iconic piece of Australian culture.
