Halestorm, like many rock bands, are against using backing tracks during live shows.
Guitarist Joe Hottinger believes that live shows should be raw and unpredictable, stating, “To me, rock and roll is supposed to be a little dangerous.”
Drummer Arejay Hale emphasized Halestorm’s commitment to performing live without backing tracks, highlighting the challenges and benefits of this approach.
Lead singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale expressed her preference for live performances over pre-recorded tracks, stating, “I don’t think I’d enjoy myself” with playback assistance.
The band’s decision to play live is driven by a desire to improve as musicians and maintain authenticity in their performances.
