The charitable foundation behind Metallica is doubling down on its impact, announcing a $10 million investment over the next three years into its Metallica Scholars Initiative.
Launched in 2019, the program has already supported more than 13,000 community college students, helping them pursue careers in technical and skilled trades. With total funding now reaching $15 million, the initiative has expanded across all 50 states and Guam, partnering with schools to strengthen workforce development programs.
The newly announced eighth cohort will provide $75,000 grants to 15 selected colleges, continuing the program’s mission to support career and technical education. The initiative has earned praise from educators and leaders, including strong partnerships with the American Association of Community Colleges.
By investing in real-world skills and opportunities, Metallica is proving their legacy extends far beyond music—into lasting community impact.
