BUSH frontman Gavin Rossdale is embracing a heavier sound, revealing that the band’s last three albums — including their newest release I Beat Loneliness — reflect a deliberate shift toward more aggressive, guitar-driven music.
Rossdale shared that his goal has been to create songs that are both heavy and melodic, drawing inspiration from bands like Deftones and System of a Down. He described songwriting as a constant challenge, requiring the right mix of emotion, energy, and structure to truly connect with listeners.
The current lineup — Rossdale alongside Chris Traynor, Corey Britz, and Nik Hughes — continues to evolve the band’s sound while staying rooted in their alternative rock foundation.
BUSH recently kicked off a U.S. tour with support from Mammoth WVH and James and the Cold Gun, bringing their heavier edge to audiences nationwide.
