Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes has canceled his upcoming May 2026 tour across the United Kingdom and Scandinavia due to health issues requiring immediate attention.
Holmes, who was diagnosed with throat and neck cancer in 2022, had previously completed treatment and announced he was cancer-free. The recent setback has forced him to step away from touring as he focuses on his health.
Reflecting on his time with W.A.S.P., Holmes also shared candid thoughts about the band’s early days, noting that while he played a major role in shaping their signature sound, the group evolved into more of a one-man vision after their debut album. He emphasized the importance of his guitar work in defining the band’s early identity.
Fans have expressed support as Holmes prioritizes recovery, hoping to see him return to the stage when he’s ready.
