Rock legend David Lee Roth made a surprise appearance at Coachella, joining Teddy Swims onstage for a high-energy performance of the Van Halen classic Jump.
Swims, who kicked off his set with a promise of special guests, delivered on that hype in a big way. After appearances from Joe Jonas and Vanessa Carlton, the biggest moment came when Roth hit the stage to roaring cheers.
Introduced as “from the best band of all time,” Roth wasted no time bringing the energy—rocking a flashy outfit, spinning his mic stand, and strutting across the stage as the iconic synth intro of “Jump” lit up the crowd.
Though it was just one song, Roth proved he still commands the stage, while Swims soaked in the moment alongside fans—many experiencing the Van Halen anthem live for the first time.
It was a cross-generational rock moment that turned Coachella into a full-on arena show.
