The music video for “When I Wake Up” by The Pretty Reckless reflects a time in Taylor Momsen’s life when she was out of control and not caring whether she lived or died.
Momsen directed the video to capture the raw and unfiltered reality of that period in her life, stating, “Reality doesn’t come color-corrected, and I didn’t want to change what we captured. The imperfection is the grade.”
The video features cameos from Jessica Szohr, Connor Paolo, Pat Smear, and Ilan Rubin, with the Foo Fighters members’ appearance being more innocent compared to the rest of the video.
“When I Wake Up” is a track from The Pretty Reckless’ upcoming album “Dear God,” set to be released on June 26.
The band will be embarking on a European and UK headline tour in November and December, with tickets going on sale on March 20.
