Eric Clapton is proving that rock and blues have no age limit. The legendary guitarist has announced a new U.S. tour for 2026, kicking off September 6 in Detroit and wrapping up September 17 in Kansas City.
Clapton will hit the road with an accomplished backing band that includes Doyle Bramhall II, Sonny Emory, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Tim Carmon, and backing vocalists Katie Kissoon and Sharon White. Blues guitar great Jimmie Vaughan will join the tour as the opening act.
The announcement follows the release of Clapton’s 2024 studio album Meanwhile, which featured eight previously released singles alongside six new songs. Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public Friday, March 6.
