Yungblud is collaborating with the Smashing Pumpkins on a new version of his song “Zombie,” set to be released with a music video.
Yungblud shared that the original version of “Zombie” was inspired by Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream album.
Yungblud reached out to Billy Corgan to create a darker, more aggressive version of “Zombie” to scratch an artistic itch.
Within 10 days of their conversation, Yungblud flew to Chicago to record the song and music video with the Smashing Pumpkins.
Yungblud previously collaborated with Aerosmith on the track “My Only Angel,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.
