Taylor Momsen and her band, the Pretty Reckless, performed a rock version of “Where Are You, Christmas?” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The song was originally a piano-driven power ballad co-written by Mariah Carey for How the Grinch Stole Christmas – which starred a young Momsen alongside Jim Carrey.
The Pretty Reckless’ rendition of the holiday tune began with archival audio of a young Momsen singing the opening lines, transitioning into a rock performance with blazing guitar riffs and a saxophone solo.
Their version of the song appears on their newly-released holiday EP Taylor Momsen‘s Pretty Reckless Christmas, which also includes original songs written by Momsen and guitarist Ben Phillips.
Last month, Momsen performed at the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, singing “Rusty Cage” and “Black Hole Sun” with inductees Soundgarden.
