Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee had high praise for new Crüe guitarist John 5.
Appearing on ‘John the Metal Mailman’, Lee called John 5 an “insane guitarist” who immediately changed the energy in the room: “He brought in this insane new fire, honestly, that we all needed. Everybody had to step up their game, man. It’s, like, ‘Woo, look out. This kid’s on fire.’
The best part, Lee said, is that Mötley Crüe was already one of John 5’s favorite bands: “He’s a fan. So he literally knew every single song.”
John 5 joined Mötley Crüe in 2022, replacing guitarist Mick Mars.
