The Slayer online museum, Slaytanic Verses, launched its latest digital collection, Hell On Tour, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hell Awaits and revisit the band’s 1985 world tour.
The exhibit features Slayer’s original handwritten tour notebook, providing a detailed day-by-day account of the band’s journey during a four-week stretch in 1985.
Tom Araya and Kerry King share never-before-seen interviews discussing the intensity and chaos of that significant era in Slayer’s history.
Despite the passing of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013, Slayer’s legacy endures with Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph continuing the band’s journey.
Following their final world tour in 2019, Slayer surprised fans with festival appearances in 2024 and are expected to have more one-off performances in the upcoming year.
