In 1983, Ozzy Osbourne and Madonna recorded vocals for the track “Shake Your Head” by Was (Not Was), but Madonna’s vocals were not released.
Was (Not Was) re-recorded “Shake Your Head” in 1992 with Ozzy Osbourne, but Madonna did not give permission for her vocals to be used.
A remixer later turned “Shake Your Head” into an Ozzy/Madonna duet, combining their vocals from the original recording sessions.
Was (Not Was) considered releasing a deluxe edition of their album ‘Born to Laugh at Tornadoes’ to include the Ozzy/Madonna version of “Shake Your Head.”
