Five Finger Death Punch and Babymetal are sharing a new version of “The End” for FFDP’s Best Of – Vol. 2 collection.
Su-Metal from Babymetal shares her experience working on the song, stating, “I sang Japanese lyrics inspired by and based on the original lyrics of ‘The End’ and spent a lot of time experimenting to figure out what kind of voice would best suit such a deep, cool track.”
Su-Metal’s favorite part of the song is the transition from the chorus into the break, where her voice gradually blends with Ivan Moody’s growl, giving her chills.
Five Finger Death Punch’s “Best Of – Vol. 2” collection includes 16 tracks, focusing on music from the latter part of the band’s career, with newly recorded versions of some of their popular songs.
The “Best Of – Vol. 2” album is set to be released on Oct. 24, with preorders available on the band’s website, along with 20th-anniversary merchandise.
