Legendary GUNS N’ ROSES frontman Axl Rose is stepping into a bold new medium with the launch of Axl Rose: Appetite For Destruction, a multi-volume graphic novel series created in partnership with Sumerian Comics. Pre-orders are now live exclusively at sumeriancomics.com.
The series reimagines Axl in a neon-drenched Paradise City where humans and robots co-exist. Rose plays a half-human, half-robot living on the fringes of society, who is pulled into a deadly conspiracy while searching for a vanished lounge singer. The story blends cyberpunk grit with the rebellious spirit that has defined Axl’s career for decades.
Sumerian Comics co-founder Nathan Yocum described the project as “a raw, neon-noir fever dream, part rock anthem, part cyberpunk prophecy. Axl and I built a world where rebellion isn’t just attitude, it’s survival.”
Fans who pre-order can unlock exclusive collectibles, including a Paradise City map, a Collector’s Coin, an Axl Rose figurine, and—for the most dedicated—an Axl-signed bookplate.
With artwork by Frank Mazzoli (Dune: Edge Of A Crysknife), colors by Antonio Antro (Hell Is Us), and lettering by Micah Myers (American Psycho), the series promises stunning visuals to match its futuristic storyline.
This project marks another expansion of Rose’s legacy as one of rock’s most iconic frontmen, while Guns N’ Roses continue their massive global touring success. As Rose himself now proves, his creative fire burns far beyond the stage.
