Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has opened up about his health, revealing the challenges he faced during his recent stroke recovery.
Neil explained that the stroke was caused by a blood clot in his leg that traveled to his brain, leaving scars. “I went from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane to — I can walk now, but for five months it was just off and on, not knowing what’s gonna happen,” Neil shared.
The rocker also revealed that he’s actually experienced four strokes over the years, with two going unnoticed until doctors discovered the damage during his recent health scare. His recovery included extensive physical therapy with specialists who typically train football players, incorporating running and athletic exercises to regain mobility.
Despite the setbacks, Neil is pushing forward. Mötley Crüe’s Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM has been rescheduled through October 3, where the band will deliver a “tell-all show” exploring their wild history, including their record-breaking Stadium Tour.
Neil’s openness about his health struggles underscores both the resilience of the “Girls, Girls, Girls” singer and the band’s determination to keep rocking.
