Amy Lee has confirmed that Evanescence is more than halfway through recording their next album — and she couldn’t be more excited.
The band’s latest single, “Afterlife” (featured on Netflix’s Devil May Cry), may also appear on the new record. Lee revealed, “I think we have all the songs that are gonna be on it at least started.”
Unlike past projects, Evanescence is taking a freeform, collaborative approach this time around, working with multiple producers and following the flow of creativity. “We’re just doing whatever feels good. No rules except what the song wants,” Lee explained.
Evanescence fans have been eagerly awaiting the follow-up to their landmark debut Fallen — an album that sold over 17 million copies worldwide and earned multiple Grammy wins, cementing their place in rock history. With the new record now halfway complete, the countdown is officially on.
