Deftones continue their hot streak with the release of Private Music and a run of live shows that fans are calling some of their best in years. Before the band heads overseas, guitarist Stephen “Steph” Carpenter sat down with Premier Guitar for a brand-new episode of Rig Rundown. In the interview, filmed at the band’s Milwaukee stop, Carpenter dives deep into his massive gear setup—one he admits leaves his 2013 rig in the dust.
Carpenter won’t be joining Deftones on their European/UK trek, making his recent U.S. appearances, including Dia De Los Deftones on November 1 in San Diego, the rare chance to catch him in his full “gig rig” element. This year’s festival lineup includes Deafheaven, Clipse, and Glare.
Following that, Deftones will kick off their 2026 European and UK tour alongside Denzel Curry and Drug Church. Dates include Paris, Berlin, Manchester, Dublin, and a major show at The O2 in London on February 20.
