Morrissey has canceled two upcoming concerts in Connecticut and Boston this weekend after receiving what he described as a “credible threat on his life.” The decision was made out of an abundance of caution to protect both the singer and his audience. The threat originated from 26-year-old Noah Castellano of Ottawa, who was arrested and charged with threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Castellano allegedly posted on Bluesky that he would shoot Morrissey “many times” if the artist performed at CityFolk on September 12. Despite the disturbing threat, Morrissey went ahead with his scheduled CityFolk performance without incident. Authorities are continuing to investigate, while Morrissey and his team prioritize safety for all involved as they navigate the situation and future tour plans.
