Foo Fighters made a powerful return to the stage Saturday night, playing their first concert in over a year at the 900-capacity Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California. The show marked the debut of new drummer Ilan Rubin, who joined the band for a 25-song set packed with fan favorites including “All My Life,” “The Pretender,” “Best of You,” and “Everlong.”
In a surprise moment, they even worked in a snippet of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” during “No Son of Mine.” The intimate performance reignited excitement among fans and hinted at a new era for the band. Adding fuel to speculation, the Foo Fighters updated their Facebook profile picture to a shot of the group with producer Rick Rubin, teasing possible new music on the horizon.
