A stacked lineup of punk legends is paying homage to Motörhead with the upcoming tribute album Killed By Deaf – A Punk Tribute to Motörhead, arriving October 31. The 14-track compilation features high-energy covers of Motörhead classics by Rancid, Pennywise, The Bronx, FEAR, Lagwagon, and GBH.
A highlight of the release is a never-before-heard 2002 collaboration between Motörhead and The Damned on “Neat Neat Neat,” accompanied by a new music video. Pennywise tears through “Ace of Spades,” while Rancid delivers their take on “Sex & Death.” A press release for the project quotes late frontman Lemmy Kilmister, who once said, “The punks loved us… a lot of kids heard us without seeing a picture, so they thought we were a punk band.”
