Perry Farrell has officially responded to the lawsuit filed against him by his Jane’s Addiction bandmates Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins following their onstage altercation and the abrupt cancelation of their reunion tour. In his filing, Farrell lists 35 affirmative defenses, including claims that Navarro has “unclean hands” and failed to mitigate alleged damages. The lawsuit from his bandmates accuses Farrell of drinking before shows, which they say led to erratic behavior and ultimately forced the tour’s collapse.
Farrell has countered with his own lawsuit, accusing the other members of waging a “years-long bullying campaign” and canceling the tour without his input. The band split after a September 13, 2024 Boston show ended when Farrell attempted to punch Navarro on stage, shocking fans and ending the reunion.
