Twenty One Pilots have filed a lawsuit against Temu, accusing the online retailer of selling counterfeit band merchandise. The suit points to dozens of infringing products, including t-shirts, posters, and even an exact replica of an official $35 shirt being sold on Temu for just $7.54. The band’s legal team describes Temu as “one of the most unethical companies in today’s global marketplace,” alleging that the retailer profits by exploiting artists’ creativity without consent.
This case follows a similar lawsuit recently filed by the estate of MF Doom, who also accused Temu of selling unlicensed merchandise. For Twenty One Pilots, the fight is about protecting their brand, their fans, and the value of authentic artistry against the rise of cheap knockoffs flooding the market.
