The film will focus on the band’s first four years, chronicling the formation of KISS and the early friendship between Stanley and Gene Simmons. Written in its most recent draft by Darren Lamke, the project has seen some shifts behind the scenes. Initially planned as a 2024 Netflix release, the biopic is now expected to be financed by STX Entertainment, which may push production into late 2025 or early 2026.
