Motley Crue co-founder Nikki Sixx surprised fans by opening up about his future in a now-deleted social media post. At 66, Sixx shared that while he’s looking forward to the band’s upcoming ten-show Las Vegas residency, his days on the road may be numbered. “I love playing the songs, but being on the road is not for me for too much longer,” he wrote, citing his desire to spend more time with his six-year-old daughter, five older kids, and granddaughter.
Sixx emphasized that music will always remain central to his life, but his focus is shifting from the “rockstar” lifestyle to new creative projects. Mötley Crüe—Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5—kick off their rescheduled residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on September 12.
