Deftones frontman Chino Moreno states that the ‘lost’ album ‘Eros’ “will most likely never see the light of day.”
The band began work on ‘Eros’ in 2007 but shelved it in 2009 after bassist Cheng’s accident.

Moreno mentions that only one song, “Dallas,” was close to completion from the ‘Eros’ sessions.
Moreno explains that the band’s new album, ‘Private Music,’ focuses on capturing the present moment and not revisiting past ideas like ‘Eros.’
Moreno expresses reluctance to revisit the ‘Eros’ recordings due to emotional weight, stating, “To open up those files would probably be heavy too. Emotionally heavy.”
