Axl Rose pointed out the fans to Slash and Duff McKagan during the performance.
The fans wore dolphin heads and held up a replica of Rose’s AXL Converse sneakers, referencing the video’s imagery.
The “Estranged” video featured dolphins as a motif, symbolizing a state of peace or grace.
The video trilogy of “Don’t Cry,” “November Rain,” and “Estranged” was originally meant to feature model Stephanie Seymour but switched to dolphins after Rose’s breakup with her.
